Power is meant to be shared rather than hoarded, and that begins within.
Here, faith and psychology are companions in the same work. Together they help us remember what we already carry and create a space where community healing and personal transformation rise side by side.
My wife, Pastor Bonnie Lebak, and I, bring together Internal Family Systems, Christian Universalism, and a relational theology that honors consent, curiosity, and the dignity of every soul. Each offering is designed to help us listen more deeply, heal more courageously, and increase our own choices about how to shine our light brighter in the world.
1
The Practice: Healing with IFS
Most clergy are asked to hold deep pastoral care without ever being given the tools for it. This training offers a practical way to merge spiritual practice with spiritual counseling so leaders can meet the real needs of their congregations. It provides a clear, compassionate model for spiritual care rooted in Internal Family Systems and Christian mysticism.

The Inner Sanctuary Systemic Model can be implemented in churches, nonprofits, hospitals, retreat centers, and community organizations. It provides a framework for deepening relationship and collective healing that is spiritually spacious and psychologically sound.
This work is not limited to explicitly Christian settings. The model is rooted in presence, not dogma. It is compatible with Universalist traditions, interfaith communities, and organizations seeking to cultivate connection, transformation, and systemic well-being.

what to expect
Opening Circle
We arrive as we are and orient to the internal landscape. We set the tone for safety, curiosity, and consent.
Connection to Christian Scripture
We explore passages through an embodied sensibility that sees Scripture as a doorway to presence rather than a tool of exclusion.
IFS Teaching
We learn how parts shape our spiritual lives and how Self energy mirrors the Divine image within each of us.
Live Demonstration
One person is randomly chosen from volunteers for a 1-1 guided IFS session, getting to know their own individual system with the support from the energy of the whole group.
Integration Circle
We reflect together, noticing parallels, inner shifts and new possibilities for living the gospel from the inside out. The Practice is both personal and communal. It returns us to the wisdom within and helps us carry that wisdom into the world.

The Practice: Healing with IFS
The Practice is a spacious workshop that blends teaching, contemplation, and experiential healing. It is designed for anyone who carries a longing to understand the voice of the Divine within and the voices of the parts that get in the way. We engage Christian Scripture through a wider, mystical lens that does not reject science, psychology, or other spiritual traditions.

Training for ifs, inner sanctuary model & clinical pastoral education
Many congregations long for a deeper culture of care. This training equips teams with the skills to hold sacred conversations that honor internal multiplicity, cultural context, and the lived experience of every member.
Your community does not need to use Christian language for this model to work. It is grounded in universal human experience: we all carry wounds, protectors, and a deeper wisdom waiting to be trusted.
